野生動物疾病生態研究室

本研究室主要研究內容為調查野生動物族群之疾病發生及分布，此外，本研究室致力於了解生態環境的變化以及人類活動如何影響野生動物疾病之發生，以及如何影響病原在野生動物、人類族群及家畜動物之間互相傳播。
相關研究主題及學科知識包含保育醫學、野生動物疾病生態學、野生動物疾病經營管理、分子流行病學、地景生態學、地理資訊系統及獸醫臨床診斷及技術等。
近年來相關的研究主題包含鼬獾狂犬病之流行病學與鼬獾族群密度之相關性、台灣獼猴之病原調查、食肉目動物小病毒之感染與地景因子之相關性分析、野生遷徙性水禽帶原禽流感病毒之空間及時間變化。

Laboratory of Aquatic Animal Medicine

Our studies are mainly focus on the distribution of diseases in free-living wildlife population. Particularly, our interesting is to understand how the ecological changes and human activities influence the incidence of disease in wildlife population and transmission between wildlife-human and domestic animals.
The subjects and knowledge related with our research works include conservation medicine, wildlife disease ecology, wildlife disease management, molecular epidemiology, landscape ecology, Geographic information system, veterinary clinical diagnosis and techniques.
Specifically, our recent study projects include: the ecology of rabies virus in ferret-badger population, survey of macro- and microparasite infection in Formosan macaques, association between carnivore protoparvovirus infection in small carnivores and landscape factors as well as spatial and temporal distribution of avian influenza virus in migratory waterfowls.
