Veterinary Surgery Laboratory

Our jobs are assisting the daily medical business at veterinary medical teaching hospital and processing the clinical researches. We provide any service of complex soft tissue surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, neoplasia excision, and minimal invasive laparoscopic surgery. The interests of our research are the developing of novel surgery techniques, veterinary anesthesia, regenerative medicine, emergency and critical care, and rehabilitation in companion animals. The current research topics include the clinical applications of acute phase protein in dogs and cats, the setting and design of animal prothesis, evaluating the safety of anesthetics, the clinical application of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and stem cells in animals, the diagnosis and treatment of arthritis in aged dogs and cats, and the setting of novel rehabilitation procedures in dogs and cats.

獸醫外科學研究室

本研究室的工作主要為協助獸醫教學醫院的日常醫療業務及進行臨床研究。醫療上可提供各式複雜性軟組織手術、骨科手術、神經外科手術、腫瘤切除手術、微創腹腔鏡手術的服務。研究方向則涵蓋新式伴侶動物手術技術、獸醫麻醉學、再生醫學、急診加護醫學及動物復健醫學，研究主題有犬貓急性期蛋白的臨床應用、動物義肢的安裝及設計、麻醉藥物安全性評估、濃縮血小板及幹細胞的動物臨床應用、犬貓老年關節疾患診斷及治療、犬貓復健醫療模式之建立。
